Rayland Baxter is a Nashville-bred singer-songwriter whose music blends mystic and down-to-earth qualities, wrapping the ebb and flow of human experience in evocative melodies and a voice that reflects life's deeper mysteries. The son of Bucky Baxter — a multi-instrumentalist who performed with Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, and Ryan Adams — Rayland grew up with pedal steel melodies as his childhood soundtrack, though his first love was sports. After a knee injury ended his Division I lacrosse career, he eventually made his way to Colorado, where he began playing open mics and discovered his calling as a musician before returning to Nashville to pursue it full time. His 2012 debut Feathers & FishHooks caught the attention of ATO Records, launching a string of critically praised albums including Imaginary Man (2015), Wide Awake (2018), and If I Were a Butterfly (2022).
