Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors is an Americana band from Memphis and East Nashville, Tennessee. Drew began playing guitar in grade school in Memphis, but it wasn't until he traveled to Scotland to study at St. Andrews at age 20 that he decided to try songwriting — an outlet he leaned on heavily after losing his brother. "Music helped me make sense of the world," he has said. While attending the University of Tennessee, he met Ellie Bannister, daughter of producer-songwriter Brown Bannister; the two married in 2006 and, along with Nathan Dugger and Rich Brinsfield, formed the Neighbors — named because they all lived in the same zip code. The band toured heavily, supporting national acts like Ryan Adams, The Avett Brothers, and Los Lobos, and built a steady climb on the Billboard charts with albums like Chasing Someday (2011), Good Light (2013), and Medicine (2015).
